The thing is that iOS 14 brought has this new section designed to quickly control your home accessories enabled by default. And in most cases it is displayed as an empty section suggesting to open the Home app and add some accessories and scenes. It’s a pity that you can not move it down, so if it is turned on, it is always displayed right under the brightness and volume controls.
