How to Enable the Dark Theme on Huawei P30 Pro, Mate 30

In this simple guide you will learn how to enable the dark theme (or dark mode) in settings of your Huawei P30 Pro in a few taps of your finger.

The tutorial will be also applicable to all other modern models running Android 9 with EMUI 9.1 such as Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 30.

As you might know, the dark mode not only looks cool but also consumes less battery and even protects AMOLED and OLED displays, so their lifespan can be increased greatly (by the way, Huawei P30 Pro has an OLED display). Thus, you will be able to achieve at least 3 goals at the same time if you turn it on!

Follow the steps to Enable the Dark Mode on Huawei P30 / P30 Pro:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Scroll down a bit and select the Battery section.
  • Toggle on the Darken Interface Colors option:
    darken interface colors Huawei
Darken interface colors on Huawei P30 Pro

Once you’ve done this, the Settings menu will turn dark. Personally I like black theme a lot more than the default one especially because they reduce my eye strain when reading. That’s why I always try to enable it on all my Android devices, not only Huawei P30 Pro.

Feel free to tell us about the settings and option that you prefer to change on your Huawei P30 Pro or other models with Android 9 and EMUI 9.1.
