Should I change Gmail password from time to time if I have 2-step verification enabled?
If you receive text message with a verification code from Google but you are sure you didn't try log in to your Google Account this means somebody knows your password. In this case change Gmail password (a.k.a. Google Account Password) just not to be bothered by those SMS messages. But anyways, noone will be able to log in to your account unless he has access to your cellphone is able to view verification codes.
Can I change the password for gmail only?
"Gmail password" and "Google Account password" - the same thing. You cannot use different passwords for Gmail and Google.
